    pain in forearm

lately ive noticed when i do curls, mainly preachers, close grip and wide grip i get a really bad shooting pain around the outside of my forearms. Some times it gets so bad i have to stop lifting that day. Has anyone else ran into this? Is their anything that i can do to prevent this?

    Thanks for all the info.

Yea, I've been there. Hit the forearms hard build up strong wrists and you should be okay. It's just poor form. I was curling more than my forearms/wrists could handle.

I had my forearms and wrists kill halfway through arm day a couple weeks ago. I think I was using too much wrist action in my EZ bar curls, my BIs could handle it, but just not the wrists. I've been using handgrips throughout the week to help my strengthen my forearms. Now I am fine.

I get it to. I'll get worse with the straight bar preacher so i mainly stick to EZ bar. Unless some douche is doing 19 sets of curls with that bar.

I have tried everything to get around it and nothing had worked. I pretty much just deal with it. My pain doesnt really come until i release the bar. I slowly set the bar down and slowly release it which helps minimize the pain.

yeah i think your forearms arent strong enough for the weight your lifting. it used to happen to me especially on the straight bar..

release it slowly and it will minimize the pain
