I Have Abs Now !!! But.....
i have alot of excess skin :'(
what do i do guys?!?!
ive finally lost ALOT and i mean ALOT of BF !!! (47lbs in 3months)
and my six pack shows now when im standin upright and its beautiful !!
but..... i have excess skin that makes it soft, i dont have my stomach all shrink wrapped like those other people that have great abs do :'(
when i sit down, i see the skin fold, not fat, but just skin, what do i do? is that skin never gonna go away because its where my fat used to be? or can i work out that skin? or am i gonna need an operation to get it cut out?
if you guys can help me on this i would greatly greatly appreciate it!!
OOHHH !! here is an example !!!
you know when you get a chicken leg or thigh that is raw with the skin? wel lplace your hands on the skin and do you see how it can move around OVER the muscle of the chicken but its doesnt slip off? thats how my stomach it
i want it to go away :'(

I was a fatty and have the same problem. The longer you stay lean, your skin will eventually adapt and shrink as time goes on....be patient...it can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on your skin's ability to repair itself.

i've heard of some sort of laser heat thing they put on your skin and it tightens it, eventually making it skrink.

H.I.T Sprints
10 40yard dash sprints as fast as you and your new abs can go resting only 30 seconds in between each sprint.
Also make your ab workout a one day thing just like any other muscle but when you done get on the stepping mill for 30 or 45 minutes keeping your abs tight throughout the time your on the stepping mill.

Lemon can help tighten skin. Try using Lemon in your water.

Abs are a muscle just like any other muscle therefore they can be over trained.

You might consider surgery. I have a friend who lost a significant amount (100lbs+). He had to get surgery. You can actually get it done relatively cheap. Less than a couple thousand. Good luck, maybe try the other techniques first...

Not that I ever considered that type of benefit from lemon juice but I've always used lemon juice on my boneless breast because I don't use salt and lemon juice with lemon pepper Mrs Dash is probably the best tasting chicken I've had.
The longer you stay lean the more your skin will tighten up as well.Last edited by dedic8ed1; 12-04-2007 at 06:08 PM.

Have you considered one of those body wraps at a spa? I don't know how permanent it would be, but it may make a good "jump start".

you lost the fat faster then the skin could adapt.

Umm guys Im not a doctor but Ive NEVER heard of skin "reducing" itself back down to a previous elasticity. Sounds impossible to me. If that was the case there wouldnt be so many self concious mothers out there that have excess skin from pregnancy... Think about it. I can see it tighteining up a little, but would be negligible.

hey bro try putting hemroid cream on your stomach and love and sides and then wrap yourself tight with kitchen wrap and you will tighten up extremley. Recruiters use it to get the fat kids in bootcamp

To be honest I think you may need surgery. I've known a couple people that had gastric bypass surgery and lost a ridiculous amount of weight in such a short amount of time they had a fold of skin around the mid-section that had to be removed.

post a pic to see how bad it is....I doubt it is bad enough to need surgery

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Post a picture or better yet, see a plastic surgeon and see what he thinks.

are you doing cardio along with abs? maybe some core work like swimming would help.. i know when i was swimming my abs tightened down alot, so i'd suggest some core cardio such as swimming and pilates and such...
