    stretching

I usually stretch at night and before/after the gym. What's the importance of it and when are the best times?

You should do 5 min of light cardio and then stretch when your muscles are warm, I know some guys that have had minor injuries stretching cold muscles.

    Yeah. I never stretch cold

When lifting, I do a light cardio warm up, along with warm up sets and light stretching. Then after workout, I stretch real good.

When I do things like basketball, track runs, etc.., I warm up jogging or something. Then stretch real good, and after stretch real good.

lifting weights. I want to know what other people do because I am worried that I am not stretching enough/ hard enough. I met this guy who was crazy built and I asked him about his secret and he says he does intense stretching.

I think I remember one of MuscleScience's post about too much stretching before lifting can actually work against you or something.

But I always do light stretching before in between warm up sets. But after workout, I have a nice stretching session

    take yoga!

Proper training and diet is the reason why your friend is built, stretching doesn't make you look like that.
