    Question Electronic ab machines?

    Ok... Go Ahead and flame me. Here is my question. I work out and do my cardio like its my job. I am trying to lose weight and bulk up a little. I was just wondering if these electronic "fast abs" and "abtronix" you see on the TV are a joke or would they do anything for me. They make it sound like its better for your abs than going to the gym. They are saying that wearing their electronic belt for 10 minutes is equal to doing 600 sit-ups.
    Just asking... Henry

    I ain't gonna flame you for the abs. But one thing i will flame you on....just kidding...You can not lose weight and bulk up...

    Losing weight=Calorie Deficit
    Bulking=Calorie Surplus

    Pick which one is more important and go for it. BTW, that machine isn't going to get you "your six pac of abs"...it might help a bit, towards toning, so...maybe go ahead and try it. I've seen the infomercial, sounds intriguing, but so do ALL the others. I have yet to purchase an infomercial based product, although I am quite impressed with Tony Little's "Gazelle".... puuuuulllleeeeaassssee.

    I dropped a toaster into the bathtub and now I have wicked abs!!!

    DISCLAIMER: That was my way of mocking electronic workout devices. DO NOT drop a toaster into your bathtub (at least not when you're in it).

    When you dropped your toaster in the tub, did it have white or whole wheat bread in it ?

    They are knock-offs of T.E.N.S units used in various physical therapy settings..... They DO NOT BUILD ABS OR CUT FAT. The only thing they may be helpful for is reducing muscle cramps in people with back problems... They have their place... but giving you abs, isn't it....

    If they worked, Mr. Olympia would have one hell of an electricity bill, sitting in front of the TV, hooked up to a bunch of electro stim machines!
