down for 3, hold for 3 , up in 1

    for example...

    dumbell curls...

    down in 3 seconds...

    hold for 3 seconds

    pump up in 1!!

whats your thoughts on this technique?

If we are talking about dumbell curls only, up 3, down 1, very little pause at bottom. It really varies from exercise to exercise for me.

I have done some super slow reps before, talking in the down in 8 range. Can only do it on certain exercises. It's a nice way of mixing things up and shocking the muscles but not something I would want to do all the time. Certain exercises I like to get into a rythm with.
