    Arnolds training regime

hey i just bought arnolds encyclopedia and he states a workout regime for you in which u work each body part every 2nd day so like

day 1 morning - chest bis calves
day 1 night - upper back shoulders
day 2 morning - abs forearms tris
day 2 night - legs lower back

then repeat from start on day 3.

im sore for like 6 days after training each muscle, how the hell did arnold do that regime without overtraining i can only train each muscle every 7 days... would i get better results to train with less intensity to heal quicker or wat?

You can't really compare your lifestyle/lifting to arnolds or any other bodybuilder for that matter... All arnold did was train, eat, sleep, and tan.. He got enough rest to do a routine like that

To answer your question, that is a terrible routine.

I seriously doubt Arnold or anyone has used that routine with good results.

Stick with working each muscle once a week.

well i dont think its that bad, plus if you see with arnold when he came to america he had very weak calves ,and then joe wieder asked him to make em grow and what did arnold do??

he hit em everyday for 45 minutes!!!and he did grow didnt he!!???we all know the effectivness of a routine cannot be judged ina week!so i would say stick 2 it for a while!!!

yeah that was the old school methodology ...not near the emphasis on rest and recovery that was later found to actually foster growth..... book is a great source of basic info IMO and a glimpse into bb history.....
