    workout gloves

I go through a pair about every 2 months, they always tear on me.

Anyone know a good brand that will last a long time. The price really doesn't matter.

    Thanks

Chalk it up bro, I bought some nike gloves and they lasted about 6 months so i'd try some of those. Kinda high though. 30-35 bucks or so.

Yea, no joke callouses suck - especially if you are grabbing a hand full of tits, you'll be leaving scratch marks. But if you want to go heavy without straps, you can't really use gloves.

Anyone else go bare hands WITHOUT chalk? And does chalk help much and in what sense?

    exactly

i touch a different girl everynight
and rough hands arent a turn on for them

plus.. im pretty tall. i have long hands and fingers.

so when i wrap my hand around a barbell.. i pretty much wrap my hand around it twice

wearing gloves lets me get a thicker grip so a better grip

chalk... go to a local dollar store and buy the chalk, it is about as thick as you thumb... and you can even get dif colors (get pink) they will match your gloves... lol sorry bud, had to throw that in there...

chalk will do the trick and you will look cool to every one cause only the real guys use it...

I have to disagree with you bro.

When you grab something thick, it is harder to get a good grip. By wearing gloves, you're actually making what you're gripping thicker. However, this is beneficial for you because you have long hands, etc. But for people with normal sized hands, I would advice AGAINST gloves.

I've been training without chalk/gloves/straps since I started bodybuilding, and it has DEFINITELY helped my grip strength. I can deadlift, shrug, etc a lot more weight because of it.

Valeo brand. Black gloves. No gel padding, no wrist straps or other BS.
Very comfortable and not thick at all. Just enough to save your skin from ripping.
They last me year easy. Then they just get beat up and I spend another 5.99.

$5.99 Try it out. I bet you will love it.

I think gloves are for women only. No offense ;-) I think women want to be touched by a man who's hands feel like a mans hand should. You wouldn't EVER see Clint Eastwood wearin gloves. He's my hero. :-)

yeah. for all you short or average sized guys. gloves arent needed

but for me, without gloves i cant get a serious grip on the bars or bells cuz my fingers wrap around and hit the other side of my hand. so with gloves it displaces that long grip. and gets me a solid grip without over gripping the bar.

to each his own. my grip hasnt suffered due to gloves. i choked a hoe last night. she turned blue no problem

No, its true. I had to stop using gloves when I added weight to my Deads and heavy shrugs.

Haven't used chalk, but am starting to look into it -
