    Sleeping problem

Today I slept for 8:30 hrs and that was the longest sleep I had in 6 years. I don’t know why but I’m never able to sleep more than 6 to 6:30 hours at night, and my day is not that easy, I work, I go to the gym and go out with my friends at night, but whatever effort I do all day it doesn’t help me to have a long good sleep at night.

p.s. these 8:30 hours were not continuous, I woke up like three times.

getting only 6.5 hrs isn't ideal, but it's not that bad. Some people require less sleep.

the important thing is that you get deep, continuous sleep.

Are you on a cycle? or taking any stimulants?

    I get around 5 hours a night. 6 if I'm lucky. And I'm only 20 years old.

Studies have shown that proper sleep = increased growth / recovery of the muscles.

Nevertheless, it isn't a plausible option for many. Especially those of us who work / go to school.

Maybe your mattress sucks. Get a Tempurpedic mattress, thats what I did.

I also read in another one of your threads that you lift in the afternoon. How late are we talking? I used to lift at night and I couldnt sleep for shit. I started lifting early as **** in the morning, works out better for me.

even with ambien cr i can only sleep about 4 hours. then i'm up and can't fall back asleep for an hour or so, then i sleep another hour or 2. it sucks.

damned tren! sad thing is i'm 3 weeks into pct and it's still that way.

anyone else had prolonged problems while on tren? how long until sleep went back to normal?

    6 hours? you're my hero. 8,30? you're my superhero.
The most i ever slept is like 5 hours taking huge amount of diazepam.
I dont take sleeping pills anymore i'd rather sleep less that have that bad trip.
I prolly runs on my genes, my grandmom and her sister never sleep for more than 3/4 hours. My shrink says its called "short sleepers". I dunno if its bad. She is 90 and healthier than me. Pretty much a lottery.

^^ same. I wake up and stay up for a good 45 minutes, sweating balls. Thank god I don't have to wake up that early (8am the latest).

I'd rather not take anything, bc of that groggy feeling. Xanex helps me if I get a good nice sleep early.

The first thing that comes to mind is that you could be over-trained but I think it's probably your body chemistry if you are not feeling lethargic. Sleep apnea could be another culprit. Do you snore or wake up with dry mouth?

Ronnie might be on to something about the overtraining. In my younger years when I use to overtrain big time. I would lie down and my heartbeat would keep me up...

This is the story of my life.... I stopped taking tylenol PM that I was addicted to, and now my sleep is just TERRIBLE. I find that taking zinc/magnesium/b-6/melatonin helps me keep asleep when I finally do fall asleep.

For you guys that have sinus probs keeping you up, try a neilmed nasaFLO (saline nasal wash system) it get's rid of all KINDS of sinus symptoms. cost 12 bucks, after using it I think it's worth a million.

Isn't the amount of sleep your body needs based on your age and/or normality
If you you are used to getting X amount of hours than you have got the right amount of sleep.
The older you get, the less your body needs.
Could be wrong but I have read this many times
I always get 4 to 5 hours, for as long as I can remember.....my body as an internal clock.......I hate it.....I can go to sleep at 5 and wake up at 6:30
