    How much cardio is to much?

    Hi all i was wondering if 60 min of cardio at target heart rate is going to burn muscle or inhibit muscle groth thanks

    I believe it starts burning muscle after about the 45 minute mark, but I could be off on the numbers.

    I try never to go past that in one session

    60 minutes is my absolute upper limit. If I need more than that I break them into two sessions.

    so 45 min is the way to go

    if i do 45 min in the am on empty stomach and 30 min after weights would they stop muscle growth or start to burn muscle

    how long in between the first 45 min, and the weights?

    at least 8 or 9 hrs

    I was doing an hour at a good pace after a while it was effecting my strenght during workouts. I am not exactly a cardio freak though.

    Cardio should NOT be done right before weight training for this EXACT reason. IF you have to do cardio and weights in same session, always better to do weights first then cardio !!

    I do an hour right after weights usually try for 5x a week anything less than 30 min is not cutting it for me.
