    Model look vs bodybuilding look

What is a great workout routine for a beach body/model look, rather than building up mass and size?

    I am 21
    5'11
    I fluctuate between 155-160lbs
Been working out for 3 years
I've been stepping up the calorie intake and gained some pounds. Basically eating every 2.5 hours. If I feel full when that next 2.5 hours comes around, I eat as much as I can until I feel like I'm going to throw up (Food is too expensive to throw up).

not sure my body fat. The electronic thing at the gym always says ERROR.

    Any ideas for me?

sounds like you already have the model body.at 5'11 and ONLY 160

if you don't want to BUILD more muscle, then just keep your reps higher then 12
like in the 12 to 15 range

    What kind of model?

Like holister? don't eat and don't lift and make your hair messy.

Ambercrombie, same deal, but cut your hair a little.

Trust me, if you lift heavy on compound movements, you won't get "too big"

Like the cover of MENS HEALTH or MENS Fitness magazines

Nice cut/hard look. Does it take a lot of cardio? Do I just do high reps or is it best to start by building some size and then cutting down?

Those guys don't look that big if you only see people in magazines and whatnot, but I guarantee, those guys in those pics are 100% committed in the gym.. You don't look like that going light or easy.. Not suggesting for a second that they are "XBAWKS HUEG", but just sayin', that look takes dedication.

a MH model is basically a frustrated bodybuilder or someone who trains and diets as a bodybuilder BUT has poorer genetics or decides not to cycle (or his genetics are so poor the not even AAS can help it).

depends, they could be over 200lbs depending on wheels, most have a good sized upper body but they don't work on the lower body as much

just lift heavy, eat heavy and do cardio. Once you get to a desired weight and you don't look as cut as you want to. Start doing higher reps, more cardio and trim/tweak your diet. Easy as that. You want to look like a MH model then start eating lifting and running and don't forget about that core, tear that thing up atleast twice a week. I'd have to see pics of you to tell, but from a normal/decent build to reach that kind of look you'd need atleast 4 years of serious training and diet.

this reminds me of the girls i date who want to look like the cover of Fitness magazine but are afraid to lift weights because they don't want to "look like a dude". hahahaha. Bro, with your build lift HEAVY, put on some size, and then worry about cutting up. You will probably never have to worry about being bigger than these MH guys even if you tried. (no offense)

No offense taken. No one in my family is very big, we all have pretty thin builds. I will just keep stuffing my face and staying consistent with my workout

Stuffing your face is the important part. Big muscles are built in the kitchen, not in the gym. You could bail hay all day and get XBAWKS HUEG! if you are eating right
