    Running Shoes

Can anyone recommend a good brand/model or running sneakers? I'm having problems with shin-splints etc and want to get a top of the line running sneaker to try and remedy my problem. Right now I have Nike Air Structure Triax 10's.

    Thanks!

You may just need arch supports. That worked for me and I buy the cheapest sneakers I can find.

when i used to run alot I went with New balance.

relatively cheap, but a solid running shoe.

remember to go heel to toe when you run.

I wear Nike Shox the cheapest ones I can find. I use to have a problem with shin splents and with that arch on the back of the shoe it works great.

There is no perfect running shoe. There is, however, a running shoe that perfectly matches your foot shape, arch and stride tendencies. Your best bet would be to go to a running specialty store and have them fit you for a specific brand. Might even save you some money!

There is a store around where I live called The Runner. They actually test your feet to find the best type of shoe for each individuals feet FOR FREE!!!! Saucony, Asics, and New Balance are some of the highlt recommended ones.

fit4ever is right. At the very least you need to find out if you over protonate or suplinate. If you have a neatral stride most running shoes will work. Stay away from anything with air in the soles, because the air bounces and increases the shock.

These things are an injury waiting to happen. I wouldn't run in them. They aren't really designed for performance. More of a fashion shoe than an athletic shoe. You'll rarely see a serious runner wearing nikes and definitely not nike shox.

Nike doesn't make "running" shoes...they make shoes that look like they are meant for running in. I use Brooks Adrenaline GTS...but as mentioned above, it would be best if you went to a specialty running shop and got fitted for a shoe. There are many different types, choosing the wrong one could lead to problems over the long run.

Just saying thats what I run in for 2 miles everymorning. When I was in the Marines, new balance was the only way to go.

Nike air max running shoe, or Asic nimbus work good for me.... the rest don't do too well for me....everyone is different.... if you have issues, go to a running store and they will help you isolate a shoe that will be effective for the type of runner you are... I have heard good things about this, but still haven't tried it yet.
