    Consesus for time between sets?

    Hello all!

    quick question

currently i'm doing about 4 exercises, 3 sets of 6-10 reps (to failure, slow negatives) each body part once a week to build mass.

what is the consensus for time between sets? currently i'm timing myself about 1 minutes 30 seconds, any suggestions otherwise?

    thanks to all who respond!

Kinda depends on the exercise. If I am doing heavy squats or deadlifts I am definately getting more than 90 seconds of rest.

Yeah I take more time on squats and heavy deads. But what your doing sounds about right.

I actually really like this question bc I think most people don't do this. It always seems i'm the only one watching the clock between my sets. I also seem to spend less time in the gym than some guys. Anyway keep it up!

it all matters to your exercise..

    for example

if your running your reps 12 10 8 6, based upon arnolds philosophy, you should be doing 1min, 1min 2min, 2 1/2min rests... cuz the heavier your lift, the more time you need in between
