    aerobics for weight loss

when doing aerobic/cardio exercises for the purpose of fat loss, is it better to do the same exercise (jogging, biking, walking....) the entire time, or is it better to change the exercise and still do the same amount of time exercising? like 20 mins on a bike, then 20 walking, and 20 swimming. or is it better to just stick with 60 mins of jogging?

Your body only knows the exertion required for the exercise being performed. If you HR is the same you will burn the same amount of calories regardless which one you choose.

so if working legs for 20 mins will not use the glycogen in the leg muscles first, and then switching to swimming and depleting the arm muscles of glycogen will still burn the same amount of fat? it seems like it would burn less fat since its using more glycogen for energy instead of running out of glycogen in the legs and continuing to use the legs to burn energy.

If it's being done with low intensity you wont be depleting that much glycogen and that which you do use will be mostly liver supplied glycogen.

I dont like the max HR calculations, it's mostly based on age and very few people have actually figured out their max. Sticking in the 120-135 range will suit most people just fine. I will sometimes do 2-3 different forms of cardio in the same session, but only cause it seems to make the time go by faster.
