are there any muscles in the wrist???

I know this sounds pretty stupid, but I'm finally getting my body to start becoming proportional. The only thing out of whack is my wrists. The area from where my hand ends until middle of my arm is very skinny in comparison to the rest of my body, especially my hands, and bis. I've been doing wrist curls, and reverse wrist curls, but it's been mainly improving the forearm area and not really the wrist area.

What can I do about it??? Are there even any muscles there to make bigger??

Again, sorry if this sounds retarded.

There's not much muscle there. It's all about genetics and bone structure there I'm afraid. I have the same problem. What you can do is work on your forearms more and they'll look that much bigger.

Have to agree with this not much of anything that will make the wrist bigger. It is in the genetics.

    Damn it!!

Well, how do I create the "illusion" of a bigger wrist?? Wouldn't bigger forearms make my wrists look even smaller? lol

Smaller wrists make your forearms look bigger!

The is absolutely no muscle in your wrist. It is bone, cartilage, ligament, tendon, nerve and fat.

If you wanted to you could wear some man jewelry.

No. The tendon of those muscles exist in the wrist, but the muscle bellies do not. Here is an example.

The man cannot increase the size of his wrist by working out any muscle.

Well, I can tell you this much, you'll never see me wearing "man jewelry." That's just gay and silly. However, it's pretty hard to believe that there is only that muscle in your arms^^^^^. it feels like there's some sort of flesh around my wrists, and I'll just have to figure out how to get it larger.

Isn't there like a spot sizing drug called syntherol or something like that??

If you are so distressed about the size of your wrists that would would consider injecting synthol into them you might consider the possiblity you have a psychological issue.

^^^^of course it's a psychological issue! lol, the entire sport of bodybuilding is a psychological issue!!!

I am, however, looking at it mathematically, and with emotional detachability. My upper arm is 16", forearms are 13", and wrists are 7" (all cold). As you can see, there is a problem there. Overall size is small, I know, but arms and forearms are beginning to become proportional with the rest of my body. My wrists, however, are way too small comparatively.

I did not know synthol is injectable, I don't actually know anything about it. I was just wondering what route I can take to get a little more proportional.

my forearm is 7.5 inches, my forearm 12 inches and my upper arm 18 inches. You are not abnormal.

please don't take this the wrong way, but...you don't feel your arms are not proportional?? Your arms are 2 inches larger than mine, but forearms are an inch smaller, and wrist is almost the same size. If I'm feeling like it's too small, I can't imagine you feel that you are sized correctly. Again, I mean no disrespect, I just feel like my forearms should be at least 1/2" larger, and my wrist 1" larger to match my upper arms. If I had 18" arms (working on it!) I would want my forearms to be at least 14.5" and my wrists at 8-8.5".

No I don't feel out of proportion. Maybe some other people can give their idea of the optimal ratio of forearm to upper arm size. I can tell you the only way you are going to grow your wrists is to do growth hormone . Personally I think within reason the smaller your joints the better as it gives the impression of more impressive muscles.

yeah, I always wondered what a good ratio for arms is. Maybe I'll start a thread to get some opinions. I'm obviously gonna continue working out to get my arms bigger, but I'm not gonna worry about wrists enough to inject synthol or gh. If test is not gonna do it, then whatever...
