tricep workout
i was just wondering what other people did for tricep work out
At the moment im doing
mon chest/tri
tues cardio
wed back
thurs cardio
fri shoulders/bis/a little extra tris
sat cardio
sun legs. i do these on my off day of my diet because i need comfort food after training legs
i do tris twice a week because i figure that if the arm is made up buy 2/3 of the arm then bigger tris= bigger looking arms.
so i just wanted to know what exercises can i do to hit all 3 heads of the tris
i do
mon
dips 3x10
cable push downs with sright bar 3x10
cable push downs with rope 3x10
skull crushers 3x10
fri
cable push downs with rope 3x10
cable push downs 2x10
another exrcise dont know what its called i use the rope and pull it above my the back of my head 3x8
can anyonw advise me on what to do ?

Weighted Dips, Skullcrushers, close/reverse grip bench, Close grip bench from the floor, I work 'em once a week or every 5 days when I'm on.

i do chest and tri's on different days as to better the arms with heavy weight. some people do them together because the tri's are worked with chest but i feel it's better to do them apart for the same reason.

I always use 3 exercises with 3 points of flexion. One pressdown movement, one pressing movement, one extension movement. 3 exercises, 3 different prestretch movements.

rope push downs
rope and pull it above my the back of my head
and skulls

I can never understand why you would do tris on a chest day, doesnt make sense...

I agree with Mad Matt, I used to do that but you get more out of your triceps by seperating them.

I do a PUMPSET of Tri's on Chest day... after I complete my CHEST workout I ... do a set of 20 reps of Tri Pushdown's with a straight bar/rope/v-bar vary it from week to week...
But I do know what you mean... I dedicate a whole day to ARMS and a whole Day to Chest and then one to Back and then Legs and Finally SHOULDERS !!

-Dips 3 sets (With body straight as possible and elbows in) *After reading a post, Im going to start trying reverse grip, with knuckles facing in.*
-Skull Crushers 3 sets
-Either close grip bench or angled bar press-downs, 3 sets.

i started doing tris because i only get the gym 3day
so ill do
chest/tris
back/ top legs
shoulders/bis
then i thought i would tri and do them twice a week and it felt good so i kept with it?
