ya ive done lots of times. just to blast threw plateus every now and then. but wouldnt do it all the time. thats grounds for over training.
never used it, Looking inot this new pst-7 or whatever it is though! Seems like the way to go
I use it when I haven't trained for a while to quickly build up strength. Its good for building strength not size.
Check out stronglifts 5x5. Good way to build strength over the course of a month or so. It's what I'm doing right now, but I generally get bored with it after 4-5 weeks.
Workout A:
Squat 5x5
Bench 5x5
Bent over row 5x5
Dips 3xfail
Workout B:
Squat 5x5
Overhead press 5x5
Deadlift 1x5
Chins 3xfail.
Start by using a weight that you can lift consistently for all 5 sets.
Workouts alternate and are EOD.
Increase wt on each exercise by 5-10 lbs every workout.
Great for lifting heavy weight.
A good basic program for strength but not great for power-lifting or body-building.
I do not think it is for me! I tell you what I do negative reps for chest and that works wonders for me. No spotter lately though so I have been unable to do them! SOOO SAd
