    Calf workout

Okay so i've become really obsessed with my calfs, but how to build them?

The only exersise i do on them at the moment is having the weight on my shoulders and lifting my body up with my feet, up and down.

Is thier any others, anything else i can do? I just want them as big and strong as possible.

calves are tricky b/c some people have a very hard time adding mass to them...how "big" your calves look also depends on ankle size/width

try jumping rope for your cardio....that'll give 'em a tough workout for sure! I've had a lot of success with running to increase my calf size, but that's probably completely due to wider ankles

Have not seen a Donkey Calf raise machine in ages. Try doing them on the leg press machine and incorporate some seated ones as well. Calves are the only muscle I hit twice a week.

yea, leg press.. and try hitting from different angles.. people accuse me of having implants, but the reality is keep changing it up.. eat right and they will grow..

heavy weights very heavy for 4-6 range..

then in 4 weeks change to 20 rep drop sets, increasing the lactic acid build up and your tolerance for pain.. then rest, then return to the heavy rep range..

alot of others will probably disagree with me on this one as it goes against most muscle "rules" lol. I always had small legs especially calves. about a year ago i started doing seated calf raises every other day, sometimes two days in a row depending on my schedule for the week. I do this at the very begining of my workouts, right after i stretch. Most will say this is to much but my calves have grown so much that i get compliments on how big they are everytime i wear shorts.
