    cardio on cutting diet ?????'s

doing cardio 45 min every am. probably going to bum to 45 min 2x day or 60 min in the morning and 30 in pm. along with 5 days of lifting.

? is. bike vs incline fast walk. what is a good speed and incline for good cardio? i did 5.5 incline and 4.4 speed on the treadmill today. i also work in some eliptical. i really like the walkiing but just want to make sure I will still see good results.

also thinking about doing a few spin classes a week . but worried about losing to much muscle. will I?

    thanks,

Its all about heart rate. Keep your heart rate at a low level on the morning cardio. I am assuming you are doing the cardio in the morning on an empty stomach?? I usually keep my heart rate from 120-140 (max), but I am on a cycle so it helps from my body burning muscle. If not on a cycle keep your heart rate from 100-130 (max). This is a good fat burning zone and I would keep it at 45 mins on the empty stomach and no more.

Also if you are lifting 5 days a week, I would only do 20 minutes of cardio after the session and no more at a slow intensity (heart rate is key once again).

    I personally do the elyptical at a 13 / 7. I will also do a incline walk at 11 and a speed at 3.

I would DEF not do a spin class since your heart rate will get very high and start to burn muscle. Just switch up intensity/speed, can be done without changing any numbers on the machine, when doing the eliptical if you want for 30 second spans and then rest for several minutes and monitor your heart rate at all time, this will help to burn more fat.

try intervils man harder work= more calories burned they suck but stick to the facts best way to burn fat plus not only does it burn more second for second you put your self in a state wherre u burn higher calories up to 48 hours after you intervals id suggest 60seconds on 60 off for 5 sets or 10 mins total saves time burns more fat
also ill prob get ranked on for this but cardio in am on empty stomach is a myth if anything its detrimental to your body think about it like a car would u bring your car to a race track with no gas an try to win? wouldent work same for your body.

yeah i guess i mean personally it dosent make sence to me just because once you dont have food to burn for energy your bodys ganna tap into protien sources and glycogen in the muscles to compansate for the lack of energy
