    10day split

now as you read this keep in mind I'm referring to powerlifting mostly not bodybuilding

doing a 7 day split I usually have to take a break every fourth or fifth week because I start to get burnt out. Now I could start to low the intensity but to be honest I hate being in the gym unless I'm going balls to the wall...

So I was thinking of doing a ten day split, this would give more rest for joints and muscles in some areas

    1-bench-chest
    2-biceps
    3-deadlift-back
    4-off
    5-triceps with board presses
    6-squat- quads
    7-shoulder (no pressing movements)
    8-off
    9-hamstrings and calfs
    10-off

this is a very rough guess on how to do it, in fact i made it up as i typed, i'm just playing with the idea at the moment... just wondering if anybody else has ever tried something other than 7day split and how it worked for them..

also.. I am in Iraq until October, So my diet is off, I am trying to supplement it with shakes but I do believe that is another reason I keep over training and getting burnt out..

Working the bodyparts only every 11th day is too long in between stimulating them! Need to hit each muscle every 5-7 days to really have any type of effectiveness
