    Overtraining Bicep??

I read this in another tread & didn't feel like Hi Jack'n

Maybe overtraining? Do you use your biceps all day at work like a mechanic?
I am a mechanic & use my arms all day. I recently changed my routein to Back/bicep
    Bicep workout
    4 sets X 10 E-z bar curls
    4 sets X 10 Preacher Curl
    3 sets X 15 seated DB curls

After workout I can barely touch my head. I have bad flexability in my rist & it's painfull to use a straight bar so ez bar, hammer curls or db's are it.

Is there something special to consider since I use my arm all day??

I would lower those reps to the 6 range if you are using your bis all day long. I would do 9 sets at the very most for biceps, and I don't even use mine. Make sure you are hitting every part of the bicep. Outside, inside, and overall.

Biceps are easily over worked.Taking a new approach is what you need.Your hitting your biceps indirectly while doing back so by the time you do your bicep routine the bi's are worked a bit already.Do arms on a day to them selves aee how it goes. But take a good break and let them heal for a couple days or even 2 weeks.Good luck

The biceps are a fast healer so I do not think you need to concern yourself with over-training the type-2 fibers given that you are doing endurance type work (turning a wrench) at your work place as opposed to heavy lifting. If you are getting sore tendons then that's a whole different ball game and you need to change over to a lot of cable work.

    Wink

I accidently over looked his bicep routine..I agree with trying a decrease in sets as suggested to see how it goes and I would also throw in some hammer curls. Again, also try some cable work!
