It rather depends on your pulse and the duration of cardio. But if u dont eat you will lose muscles.

if you keep to low intensity, are eating right and getting enough rest then you should be able to burn fat..and keep alot...if not all muscle...get a heart rate monitor...i got mine off ebay for £10....also if you want to keep as much muscle as pos you should also be doing a weight routine...

I start work at 7am so I get up at 430am to get in my first 45 minute cardio session, then after work I hit the weights then another 30-45 minute cardio session 7 days a week.

Not trying to come down on you I just see so many people that want hard core results but wont put in hard core work.

Yes, first thing in the morning and again post workout. After leg cardio is the one time a week I will do recumbent bike instead of treadmill, stairmill or elliptical. IMHO this is some of the easiest fat buring you will ever do. I can go at a very low intensity level for 30-40 minutes and still maintain a HR of 130 the entire time after legs.

I hear that quite a bit around here and would be interested in hearing the theories and reasons behind it. Personally I think it's just an excuse to do less cardio.

Riding your bike to the gym will deplete muscle glycogen and will give you less energy for your workout. PWO it is great to burn fat at around 130pm as fireguy does.

Fireguy1 would the 2 sessions of cardio be need it? Or can you get by with just cardio for 30 min after weight lifting? Also would the postworkout anabolic window be lost if you do the cardio after weights? I did not mean to highjack this thread it's just that is very similar in topic. Thanks in advance

I always do at least 15 minutes of cardio PWO even if I have already done a session in the AM. To me its one of the easiest fat burning opportunities you get.
