    One of those days..

I just got back from my chest workout and am very disappointed in how it went. After my first exercise (incline bench press) i had barely anything left.

Yesterday i had a great shoulder/traps workout, couldn't have asked for a better session. Do you think this is why todays workout was so disappointing, indirect training the day after direct training?

I usually have a bad day in the gym like this once every month or couple of months, i'd be interested to know if you guys do aswell. Can it be avoided?

anterior delts were probly worked during delt day, so that would be utilizing them during incline.. tahts a possibility. but about bad days.. they come and they go

to be honest, I have learned over the years to make sure that those antagonizing body parts need to be worked apat from each other. for instance if you do shoulders today, no chest for at least 48hrs. things like that. I also even If it is not my day off and i go in and i have nothing in me to move the weight and the workout is suffering, I call it a day, go home and take the 2 hours from the gym and turn it into a nap , and then i eat eat eat. The next day I go back and repeat the same workout I was suppose to do the night before and I just get a good mindset and push it out.. Like Coleman said,,,

Right on...Try to keep Chest and Shoulders far apart in your routine and the same with back and legs.
