    Thoughts on rest/de-load weeks

How often do you guys take rest/de-load weeks and how does your gym routine change? for example during a rest week ive heard that you want 60% intensity. does that mean you cut sets and reps, or weight by 40%?

keep intensity the same. the amount of weight can be kept the same or add a little more.
Just do half the amount of sets you would normally do.
eat less carbs and protein. eat more fat to replace calories.

i do 4 weeks reload, 1 week deload but im still new to this.

its all in the slingshot training thread..

the OP is refering to 1 week "off" or primer and that should be more more than 80% intensity or 2 reps short of failure... id go lower lik 3-4 reps short

Incorporate some additional cardio too, if you up your carbs and lower your proteins.
