    No motivation to workout

    No motivation to workout

Im just kinda maintaining right now, but I'd still like to gain a little more. I just have no motivation to eat all day.

Any input on how to move past this and get back into it? thanks

I go through those phases, where i don't really feel like working out, feel tired, and dont have much of an appetite, and this usually means I have been overtraining, or have gone too long without a break from the gym. I think the best cure for that is time off from the gym, and I usually grow during this time off.

i usually take the week off when im really down about it, and feeling fed up ect. instead of hiting the gym get yourself down the baths for a week or somthing, then go back to it. usually does it for me.

    thanks for the input

I will probably try to take a week or so off from working out and see what happens. Only problem is that I am a personal trainer so I still have to go to the gym everyday!

I guess it happens to everyone at one time or another. Everybody is different. When i need to get motivated i look in the mirror, unless you have reached your goal, this should be motivation enough. If you're just not feeling it, take a break like jbm suggested.

Try to remember why you started training in the first place. You will find your mojo again, don't sweat it. Good luck bro

alot of times that is a sign of over training.

not to beat a dead horse but check your diet make sure its in check, check some of the other stress's in your life make sure you are keeping a pattern in which helps you get to the gym. and also change up your workout. sometimes just changing a workout gives you a new pump and renews desire in being in the gym.

Do you keep a journal with you while you train? I find writing down my work and looking to better it next time round keeps me moving forward.

Im changing up my workout routine starting today. Also Im going to try to get my diet in better order.

I keep a log on my phone of my workouts, but I havent been doing so for the last month or so.
Maybe Ill try and start that back up as well. See if that helps

    Thanks!
