    "forced" rest periods

So recently I injured my leg and am on medical "leave" from my job until some time in the distant future. I am going to continue to workout my upper body though with a very light lower routine. My daily activities have now gone from being an electrician (always on my feet, climbing, lifting, crawling, digging, pounding, etc...) to sitting on the couch and playing video games all day.

Question: Should I decrease the amount of food I consume or does the sitting around mean I will be recovering faster, thereby able to lift weights more frequently and with more vigor?

I would lesson your carbs if your not lifting as hard, just trying to maintain til your fully recovered. Make sure your getting enough protein to keep the muscle you have.

of course you will need to adjust your caloric intake to match your activity level,

what type of injury is it?

can you still do light cardio?
