    different kinds of cardio

Hey, I was wondering, besides the standard jog, treadmill, bike what are some different types of cardio people do to mix things up? Recently, and its mostly because I'm stuck in the house.. I tried something different to me. I dont know if people do it or not but I just like to mix things up to keep me excited. I have been jumping rope for about 30-45 sec (hard to count while jumping) then drop and do hill climbers back and forth for 10 minutes, then for another 10 minutes do the jump rope the same but instead of hillclimbers I run real fast on my bottom step doing a "step up" type thing. When I'm done I'm really winded and sweaty. So I think its getting the job done with some cardio. I am only able to go out jogging twice a week because my girlfriend leaves early everyother day so I am alone with my son, so I needed a good cardio to do at home.I would like to hear what others do besides the norm, just for idea's

No time? Want some effective cardio?

    HIIT - research that.
Sweat, endurance, and fat loss; all rolled up into one nice 20-30 minute session.

(Not sure what your short/long term goals are, but HIIT is a gorgeous option)
Walking at STEEP incline is also optimal for fat loss, while limiting all/if any, muscle loss --- getting your heart rate to hit 120-130 (if you are 20-30y/o) is the goal

I have done some HIIT at the park by my house, but by the time I went there did it I almost made my girlfriend late to work, faster to just jog right out my front door for 30 minutes. Although I did like it and I thought my heart was going to pop out of my chest. But by no time I mean none, I get off work at 7:00, sometimes I need to buy a few things to eat ( I work at a grocery store) so I get home between 7:30-7:45, then my girl either leaves at 7:50 on the days I cant leave for cardio or 8:30 the days I can, and thats twice a week. So thats why I started the jump rope because I can sit my son in his high chair for breakfast and he eats while I do it, and it takes him like 20 minutes or more to eat some breakfast. I wish I had room in my house to put one of those stair machines, but theres none.

You can pick up one of those round timers from a boxing website. It is a timer that has a bell in it and you can set 2-3 minute routes, with either 30-60sec breaks. Set it for 9 rounds and then alternate with jump rope, heavy bag, speed bag. That's what I do for a change. If you don't have those supplies you can get creative your imagination.

I've read that before Eat. I was trying to get different peoples tricks. Different people do alot of stuff so I wanted to see what came up that I might try. Heavy bag thing sounds cool, but I have no place to put that. I wish I could though
