    Cutting

    Hey guys,

I have bulked up to 200 lbs. and now I am looking for some advice on a cutting workout cycle. I need to know the amount of sets/reps to do per exercise and also what weight I should be doing. I also want to know if doing this will keep me around the same size. Let me know if you need more info. I realize this is pretty vague.

    Thanks

What's your height and body fat?

In general, cutting is more a matter of diet/cardio than the number of reps you perform

I'm 6'1" and my BF is 12%. I know about the dieting already, but I'm just looking for some help with the actual exercising part. I run 2-3 miles 5 days a week.

Keep the sets and rep range the same as if you were bulking. What built the muscle keeps the muscle. Diet and cardio will take care of the bodyfat issues.

Oh I see that makes sense. Thanks

after lots of experimentation ive decided that cutting really doesnt matter soo much on number of reps...any time i try light wieght and high reps i just lose size and strength...i think the only advantage to doing the higher reps is the cardio aspect that gets brought into the equation taking into account taht you dont take huge breaks between sets like u would for powerlifting or strength training but taht is just my opinion

Try sprints! 150 feet. 10-20. Speint from point a to point b. Walk back to start point and take off again. Do this 3 times a week, hill sprints are awsome to. You will shed mad fat by adding this and preserve your muscle more than long runs!
