    lots of cardio(long distance and interval training)....body weight exercises (pull ups, push ups,burpees etc)....HIIT with weights (Kbells great for that type of workout)

    basiacally alot of intense training...

    It's funny the Marines are looking at a way to change it up a bit from the normal PT standards, but the prep will be the same. The guys that are excelling in the normal PT standards will excel at this. Most of those tests are cardio based. So a real good runner will not gas out. I think that the only thing that will be different is carrying someone, which is a measurement of strength and a small long distant runner might not fair as good as some of the stronger brutes in that particular obstacle. The rest of those don't measure anything unique imo.

    I would do some distant running and maybe some sand bag sprints for my prep. For the strenth exercises, guys mentioned some good ones, but the Pushups, core training, and pullups are hard to beat. Weight training will always help too.
