    Back jerking during incline

A friend who always spots me pointed out then on my last few heavy reps, my back begins to jerk and come an inch or two off the pads. I've realized its better off to go lighter and follow super strict form. However, when I throw on 275 and jerk the back a little, my chest gets absolutely fried, amazing pump. So my two questions are, how much "cheating" am I doing with moving the back and how dangerous is it?

It's weird because everyone preaches good perfect form yet you watch these videos of the pros and they are jerking like none other.

I think the reason you're getting that fire in your chest from the weaker form is you're using supporting muscle groups.. Almost as if you're doing forced reps.

If I were you as a staple i'd keep the form strict, focus on stimulating chest only but once or twice a moth go for the gusto and lift the heavier weight.

Thanks, thats pretty much what I was thinking. Every now and then I'll sacrifice strength over form just to get that crazy pump. God I love that pump, and something about throwing 275lbs on the incline practically gives me a hard on! lmao

I'd figure that most of you guys who sacrifice decent form for a couple extra reps have never been injured.

I have, multiple times...and it sucks.

IMO, the jerking and heaving isn't worth it.
