    Front Raises

I tried a new exercise today and liked it a lot. Doubt I invented it, but I've never seen it before. I've read that for Side Lateral Raises, it helps to hold something and lean sideways. This was great, loved it. So I applied the same philosophy to Front Raises. Here's what I did:

Go to the Preacher Curl and drop the seat all the way down. Grab some light weights (I used 20 lbs. DB's) and stand on the opposite side. With your arm pits resting on the "peak" of the arm pad, let the weights hang to about where the seat should be. At this point, you should be slightly leaning forward with maybe about 2 feet between your body and the weights. Lift up until your arms are in line with the rest of your body.

Has anyone ever done these? Obviously I was going for light weight high rep. I'm starting a GVT 10 sets of 10 reps this week so that is what I did with the 20lb DB's and got quite a nice burn.

I just stand and raise each arm high, alternating. It is my second favorite shoulder exercise. Just recently got to 50lb dumbells comfortably. Only 40lbs for side raises But just got to the 90s on shoulder press Damn I love shoulders. Never tried those side raises, but I may think about it when standing up gets stale

its a little confusing how you explained it but i can tell you that you are not the inventer sorry nevertheless, its a satisfactory exercise to target the front delt... of course if the proper form is used which is always the problem with that exercise
