workout on empty stomach
is working out on an empty stomach better then having eating before the gym? i heard that if there's food in your stomach, blood will rush there to aid in digestion or something like that. this would take away from the blood that needed to reach the muscles being worked.

What do you mean with empty stomach?
If you mean first thing in the morning, it isn't a good idea.
If you mean, hitting the gym two hours after your last meal, then i agree with you.

I try to eat atleast an hour before I lift. I could not wake up in the morning and lift without eating.

I cannot do it anyway you look at it. The only thing that I would do is am cardio on an empty stomach BUT Id probably sip in bcaas while I do this.
My work schedule is kinda crazy so on my off days Ill have bfast and 1 meal then train then so on and so on. When Im working Ill have 3 meals before training then so on.
So personally speaking I cannot imagine waking up and going right to the gym to train.....jmo......

couple months ago my workout partner decided we should wo in the morning. so half the time i would wake up to a door knock and not eat. i would run out of gas 1/2 way through the wo and just be drained.

IMO this is one of the only reasons for protein shakes... IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
OP just hard boil some eggs and eat like 4 as soon as you wake up
