Head up eyes straight for me and slow form and hold at the top of the motion to feel the burn
ok cool. thats how i do them also, but i find my chin going down somtimes and it feels like it hits a differnt part of the trap. i could be psyching myself out completely but is ther a "correct" way? is one worse for your spine? if so i would imagine having your chin tucked might be it but i dont know. thanks for the input though Damien!
To me tucking the chin in would put additional stress on the spine. I do eyes straight ahead.
Try doing behind the back barbell shrugs and hold at the top and squeez.
I swear this got my traps f****** huge.
I always put my chin down. But I dont think that was the proper form.
Check out how Dorian does them @ 2:40 Squeezing
at the top really helps you get that pump..

behind the back i've always heard referred to as "Haney shrugs"...after Lee Haney...he always said "ur traps are behind you, thats where the bar should be"
I switch it up..but i do my shrugs with dumbbells mainly...take it slow to the top and focus on ur traps the whole way up, pause.. and then slowly lower....back straight, eyes straight ahead
