Did my first Cardio session, how much is too much?

I did cardio for the very first time in my life last night. Im 29... I kept my heart rate at 133-139 for 55 min. 4 mph seems to be perfect for me lol. Anyway cardio is not as dreded as people make it out to be. Can I do it for lest say 100 min? or would I start to burn muscle? Im trying to get down to 185 but keep my muscle...Im 205 today...here are my pics in this thread.

    Thanks!!

I was talking to him about AAS, he was like..."Get your nutrition in check, your still young and you never did AAS before, so get you body right and when you do them you will look Fing Awesome"

    Thanks!!
for your age your target hr for fat burning is 124 so Im not too sure if 133-139 is good for longer than 30-45 min.

Check with Fireguy on this one....

Keep in mind cardio (fat burning) isnt supposed to be hard. That said,, I dont see any reason why you cant bump your HR up into the mid 130's like you stated. As far as 100 minutes a day. I dont see any reason why you couldnt although I would split in into two sessions. I wont do more than 60 minutes straight.

I would tend to agree, unless the OP simply wants to speed up the process. He could definately do a bit less and still achieve his goal.

Thanks again Fire. Just trying to be ready for when the son comes out. Im looking at 4-5 inches of snow here in Saint Louis . Also, Im trying to keep from burning up any muscle in the process of loosing the fat. I keep looking at my pics from when I was 180 lbs and 6-7& BF to keep me motivated

What do you think the time frame would be to get down to 185-190 with a 40/40/20 diet? Ill be doing 200g protein / 200g carbs / 100g fat

60 min Cardio AM / 4 day split workout

I weighed 202 this morning...was probably dehydrated some.
