I've never tried cardio pre-lifting except for a 5 minute warm-up run before legs. I've always figured it would be too draining. I like to use all my energy to get bigger and even if there's nothing left in the tank for cardio, I can do LIT for an hour while watching sportscenter thereafter.

you shouldn't do cardio before weights, you want all your energy going into your weights, whats better cardio then weights or using all your energy towards your lifts? you wont be able to lift as well either

I train that way through necessity.. I'm a p/t, and the morning is the only real chunk of time I can get..

I hit the cardio first up, then eat breakfast, as soon as i feel the energy kick back in I hot the weights..

There are pros and cons for both, if you don't eat between you won't have the energy to lift well, but obviously early am cardio is ideal, and IMO early weight are the go. (reason being that I can chow on protein all day and I know it's being used as effectively as possible w/ minimal wastage)

I've been sitting in this routine for 6 months now, and I'm lifting more and my b/f has dropped drastically.. Eat something after the cardio though, sure you can train cardio off fat storage no worries, but lifting on an empty stomach is fuct. (I would imagine probably catabolic too, certainly not ideal)
