    cardio?

I am trying to lose BF and put on some muscle at the same time. How many times a week should I do cardio? On the same day day as lifting? How long? And at what target rate? Also, what kind of cardio do you think is best-running, walking, bike, etc.

To drop BF without sacrificing muscle.. i spelt that wrong.. Do cardio every day at 60% of your THR, There isn't fat spot reduction so chose any machine you want, i suggest 20-45 mins whatever you can handle.

I've found that the cross country machine works really well...it's a little more intense than walking and way easier on the joints than running....and it's easier to keep withing your fat burning heart rate..imho
