When cutting BF, cut down on some lifts ?

I am cutting BF , cutting calories, doing more cardio but i also read somewhere before that when cutting BF it could more beneficial to cut out heavy compound movements like squats/ deadlifts and do more isolated movements. Just wanted opinions.

I would NOT personally cut out big heavy compound lifts because they burn the most calories. They also produce more hormones and burn bodyfat longer after training sessions.

I've tried both - and both hVe worked for me except I think I lose a bit more muscle mass along with the fat if I don't lift heavy...

Absolutely not, continue hitting the compound movements and workout as hard as possible. The only reason to completely drop compound movements is laziness.

Good decision..I am in my second week of coming back to fitness and did squats today. I cannot even begin to tell you how my quads feel right now...this is not good. I am going to be in major pain in the morning, I am hurting now and my workout was 2.5hrs ago. Should I stop doing squats. Please say yes.

I would file this theory in the same folder about doing higher reps when cutting as well. Holding onto muscle when cutting is the biggest challenge of getting leaner. Taking out compound movements or going with lighter than normal weights is pretty much the last thing you want to do.
