    Post Have trouble working abs cause of lower back pain

    Any recommendations for workouts of abs or how to strengthen my lower back. When i do crunches or situps it just burns so bad I feel like im 23 going on 70 when it comes to the lower back lol.

    I think u gotta man up and just do it and the pain will go away in few weeks.

    or if u have serious back problems go to a doctor and take care of it.

    try to use swiss ball, the abs machines with light weight !

    lol ya i guess i never have pushed it just felt the pain and stopped.. ill battle through good advice i hope will see if im a cripple in a month jk thanks

    you get the best total core work from the big movements like squats and deads.

    these types of lifts need to performed properly in order to get all the benefits from them and avoid injury.

    you can add a little bit of isolated core work if you are having trouble with stability in the big lifts. other than that i like athletes to rely mostly on deads and squats to develop a strong core.

    if you have a lower back injury then get it diagnosed by a physician or pt and follow the prescribed rehab.
