legs advice
how do you train legs?Do you train quads and hams the same day or do you split quads and hams?

I train both the same day as to me this makes sense. One day I train Quads first the next workout I train Hams first that way both get equal attention.

I TRAIN QUADS AND HAMS ON THE SAME DAY. I START OFF WITH SQUATS AND THEN I DO QUAD EXTNS AND THEN HAM CURLS BUT I ALTERNATE THESE TWO EACH LEG WORKOUT THEN I WILL DO STRAIGHT LEGE DEAD LIFTS AND THEN LEG PRESS AND ALTERNATE THE TWO OF THOSE EACH WEEK THIS SEEMS TO WORK GOOD FOR ME THOUGH NO TWO PEOPLE ARE THE SAME IT MIGHT WORK FOR YOU TO WORK THEM OUT DIFFRENT. WORK THEM THE WAY YOU FEEL THE BIGGEST PUMP.

i do both on the same day. i always do squats first, then i do hack squats, and extensions. for hamstrings, i do as-heavy-as-i-can stiff legged deadlifts, standing leg curls, then laying leg curls

Yup, I do it all in one day.
Usually do a quad exc, followed by a ham , ex, etc. (staggered - Im a big fan of staggering when trainin synnergistically - ie: hams/quads, bis/tris).
Today was leg day in fact. Looked like this:
Leg exts (preexhaust)
hyperextensions (always do em b4 I squat)
Deep BB Squats
Standing leg Curl (preexhaust)
Heavy SLDLs
BB Lunges
Seated Leg Curls
Leg press
Lying leg curls

I train hamstrings with back, and legs and calfs together. Only changed recently but I'm very happy with the results. My quads w/o is shorter without hams and I can focus more on my quads, and when I train my hams they are very well warmed up from my back w.o and I can blast them.
I look forward to training leg far more now and I've seen some improvement in my hams and quads.

Legs are still a bitch to train but you do get good satisfaction from training them

I switch it up. Some days do Quads and Hams, some days seperate. It depends but I like to do this because I feel the Quads always get hit the hardest- beacuse you always hit those first, so by spliting it up you can really hit the Hams with intensity and kill em.
