Always utilize proper technique via correct posture, grip width that's not too wide or too close, contracting your upper back (especially shoulder blades while keeping them flat on the bench to allow a solid base to press from), wide foot position to increase stability, and most importantly pressing in a straight line. Keep the anterior fibers of your deltoid strong to help improve your chest movements. Perform rotary cuff exercises on the norm to strengthen them and to avoid injuries. NEVER stretch a cold muscle, and never let your ego get a hold of you.
