Flys and decline?
I have a very well developed chest and I never do flys. I do 4 sets of Barbell Flat and Barbell incline then do 2sets of dumbell flat and dumbell incline. By doing both barbell and dumbell i get a better range of motion and work different muscle fibers. Also when doing dumbbells I bring them pretty close together which is a similiar motion to flys.
Am i the only one who doesnt do flysor decline? Are they really needed?

No, there are many members who dont do decline bench at all but there are still some of us who feel it helps. I think most of the problem is most people use to much of an incline and decline so they are not hitting the chest.
Im sure by using dumbbells it helps hit some of the same muscle that flys would. you should try throwing in flys once in a while just to see if you feel or notice any difference.

Arnold makes no mention of decline bench presses in his book. Wonder why?

Isolation work on your pecs is not necessary. And decline is worthless. Flat and incline fall superior, it's been proven in studies and many people including myself will attest to this.

I have read in many diff places that decline is futile. I never do decline when hitting chest and I'm pretty happy with my chest form so far.

Too much lat involvement on decline. Too many guys in my gym do it because they can add more weight than flat bench (I guess they need the ego stroke). Stay away from it - your pecs don't need it.
