    Cardio on Cycle

    Just started 2nd cycle:

    26yo
    182 lbs
    18-20% BF
    1-12 Test E 750/w
    1-5 DBol 50mg/d

Looking to loose a little fat while I put on some lean muscle. I've heard many different theory's on this, but is cardio on cycle something i would want to incorporate and how? Some say not at all, others say definitely, and some say yes but at 70% of max HR (fat burning zone).

I have heard that cardio on cycle will limit your gains. Advise?

What does your Ancillary lineup look like?

I would incorporate some type of Sprint Interval.

Pay close attention to any ESRE's and monitor your BP and cholesterol very well. I hope you are utilizing tools to remedy these...

HIIT is the best for fat loss cardiovascular training IMO. ERSE is what I meant to put. Estrogenic related side effects.

I agree, but is HIIT a good idea while on the cycle. If so, how often a week?

Why wouldn't it be a good idea? As long as you aren't over training in the gym, HIIT can me implemented with no problems. When I was on a cycle, I would utilize HIIT on my off days. There are many ways you can go about it though, or you can choose other modes of cardio. I believe any from of cardio is a necessity while "on" or "off for it's individual benefits.

I have heard that Cardio will use the energy that your body could have used for growth. A Friend of mine, who happens to be a personal trainer and is on cycle with me swears that only light cardio (walking up hill) is all that should be done.

Cardio will burn Carbs that are essential for growth, something along those line. thoughts?

Lol. Sorry but your friend is a little uneducated. Sure, an excessive amount of cardio can hinder gains, but if you are on a cycle, this will allow you to even do more cardio than normally without hindering gains, just like it increases protein synthesis, allowing you to eat and absorb more food allowing more muscle growth, and to also train longer, with more volume and more intensity without overtraining and taxing your CNS. Simply put, if you are on anabolics, there are many things in regards to fitness and health that you can take to the next level. This is what steroids do and why they are illegal in sports.

Everyone's body chemistry is different, therefore everyone's recovery capacity is different. It would be impossible to quantify what is over training for your body, only you can figure this out through trial and error. Obviously implementing HIIT cardiovascular training and bodybuilding 7 days out of the week may be a little too much for most, but some can actually handle taking no days off.

Each cycle I've ran it was different. I've done a 9 week blast with Test P with only 1 day off a week and made tremendous gains. This was of course due to the anabolics in conjunction with good sleep everynight and a strong diet as my backbone.

Im on cycle now and do 20 min Stair master MWF and 90 min rugby practice/game Tues/Thurs/Sat.. i have gained over 20lbs so far.. less then half way through cycle.. so, that being said, i think your friend is completley incorrect. The sad thing is it only takes a few weeks of classes and any idiot can become a PT.. Cardio should be run through out cycle, but it will be harder for you to do since your muscles are larger and as a result require more oxygen.. However your cardiovascular system is not effected by juice, therefore you are essentially running bigger tires with out changing your transmission.. if that makes sense.. so yor legs will give out earlier on you that compared to when you are not on cycle.. this effect is fairly dramatic for some (myself included) and fairly mild for others

Tell him to sign up, I'd love to talk anabolics with him. PT or not, most of them out there are severely uneducated. Your goals will depend on how much cardio should be done.

    Goals are the biggest factor.

Do you want to put on 15lbs along with a little bodyfat gain, or would you be satisfied with only 5lbs but a big reduction in bodyfat? I am currently on a very mild PH cycle, doing loads of cardio, maintaining weight with a calorie deficit but dropping bodyfat like it is going out of style.

Maybe on PH the difference is that large.. but on juice it is more like.. do you want to gain 15lbs muscle and gain 2 lbs fat.. or do you want to gain 14.5lbs muscle and lose 5 lbs fat... it is BY NO MEANS 3x the difference..

Big Slick.. why would you bother with Prohormones.. have you READ ANYTHING on this site, or on any site anywhere in the world?? risk vs benefit is 5x that of just doing steroids..

I agree with HP when i was on my PH cycle a personal trainer at my gym told me not to do any cardio at all since it would supposed halt gains. Needles to say i did not obey. What a tool.
