    Exercises At Home

Raising 3 young children, it’s not always easy to get to the gym. What are some high cardio, intense workouts that I can do at home (without the need for equipment)?

Going to have find ways to be creative.

    Push ups.

Anyone can find a way to do dips somewhere in their house.

throw up a pull up bar on a door way.

High reps is probably your best bet, like BigMc said.

    I second the jumprope idea.
I also have a heavy bag in the garage.3 five minute rounds with the bag followed by 4 sets of pushups or chinups if you have a pullup bar,its a great workout when i cant get to the gym
Also look into ghetto workouts on Utube, you will be amazed of what you can do .

You need to use your imagination and see what's available around the house. Guys in prison can get really good physiques with no equipment at all just using their bed, chair and gravity. If you can hang from something then use it for chin ups, pull ups. If you have two chairs you can use them for dips, push ups. You can do one legged squats or you can max out with normal squats and do as much as you can until your legs shake and you can't walk or breathe. Put one of your kids on your shoulders while you do some too for added resistance and it will be fun for them too. You can do it in front of the bed in case you get really weak and drop them. Ha ha. Tricep presses against a kitchen counter works out the triceps a hell of a lot. Burpees are the best for cardio in the one spot or just go for a run. You can do a lot you just need to push it to the max otherwise you're wasting your time. If you're not sore the next day then step it up a notch. Then you'll know something is growing or changing.
