Arrow changing reps every 6 weeks ?

i train naturall at the moment doing a 5 day split.
i have a week off training every 6 weeks for body shock.
is it a good idea to always mix reps ??
e.g for 6 weeks go for 12-15 reps and then have a week off and then change it to 4-8 reps for 6 weeks then have a week of and then go back to 12-15 reps etc etc ??

This is the first time I hear about "a week off training every 6 weeks for body shock". I think altering exercises, order, angles, intensity and, less frequently, reps is great for progress but I wouldn't take a whole week off, unless I really had to for some reason, you know. What's that body shock about?

Being natural and having a 5-day split I understand why you would take a week off here and there. I personally train the same way. Anyways, rather than stick with a specific rep scheme for 6 weeks why don't you:

    A. Mix both low rep and high rep training into your current routine.
    B. Use high reps for one week and low reps the next.

I think you will get better results that way, plus 6 weeks on a low rep scheme will start to take its toll on your joints so it may feel better.
