    upcoming surgery

Guys, I got an upcoming surgery coming up in december. Doc said no gym or work for two weeks. Any recommendations on how just to maintain and NOT get weak. Probably gonna be taking pain killers too unfort so i fear i'm gonna loose some strength.

Well you can't workout obviously, so just be strict on a clean diet and load up on BCAAs.

2 weeks won't kill ya. lol

It might actually benefit you, every couple of months I take a week off and I feel brand new afterwards.

i'm comin off a big layoff, so finally getting back into the swing of things now. I know myself, 2 weeks will set me back unfort. Guess I'll just have to deal. Not to mention i'm "OFF" right now so finding motivation like i have for the past couple months is very hard.

Do yourself a favor and take your docs advice. I had surgery in febuary on my lower body and doc said to layoff for 2 weeks. I told him I was worried about loosing my cut. He said physique will not go away in 2 weeks and to just keep eating healthy. Well I only waited like 10 days. I thought I took it easy it would b fine. A couple days later I went to use the bathroom and balls were bruised and blue and my sack was the size of a baseball. I iced it and swelling went down but when I went to take a dump it felt like someone was sticking thier hand in my groin section and trying to rip out the muscles. I had to wait almost 2 more weeks after that experience. In December I have another surgery with the same doc and you better believe I will be taking his advice.

Tigershark, wow that's crazy. My surgery is more along the lines of cosmetic, I need a skin graft on my face! I do believe I have to just accept the layoff because the graft won't heal correctly if my blood flow is increased via by working out or cardio. Just bummed out cause I feel good and strong.
