    If I go 1 week without working out....

    how will that affect my progress? I seem to have plateaued and getting some fatigue. I have a pretty hard work week this week and I am contemplating just taking off a week of working out. Will this have a negative effect on my progress or will it be good, in terms of rest ? I appreciate any comments. Thanks.

    You will recover, and likely get bigger/better if you eat/sleep right. There is absolutely no harm in taking a week or two off. after 2 weeks, you will likely deflate.

    5 or so days off every few months is what I do. Anymore then 5 days I begin to feel very deflated. I guess the best thing is to listen to your body and dont burn yourself out. Sleep/work schedules etc will dictate your training intensity/frequency on a weekly basis. If you feel like you have plateaued perhaps mix your training routine up. This keeps the body guessing and training is more interesting.
