    Rep Countdown

I have been told by Marines that counting from 1-3 on the downside of a rep and 4-6 on the upside of a rep is best lifting practices in all workouts.

    Can anyone shed some light.

I would much rather emphasise the eccentric if i were looking for maximum muscular stimulation

The truth is tho, it doesnt matter, training a muscle to failure is whats important

Im talking BB not Power lifting or sports related training

I dont like the idea at all. By doing so you have already convinced yourself of when your last rep is going to be. Baseline hit the nail on the head, focus on stretching and contracting the muscle and nothing else.
