Used non-slip straps from Schiek but not happy. Wrapping them around the bar can be problematic. Now I use normal cotton straps.

How about chalk? does your gym allow it? Just make sure you don't use straps all time. Don't use on lighter sets. If your grip strength is an issue....use the chalk and start doing some forearm exercises (wrist rolls etc). I use straps sometimes..but minmally and only for max pulls if needed at all.

Yeah, if your gym allows chalk, I would recommend that, but most gyms don't these days. I agree with BigDog, if your grip is an issue, do some stuff to strengthen it. I use straps, but only on heavy lifts, like deads and heavy shrugs. I have issues in my right hand though, I've had boxer's break a few times, and due to me being a stupid kid, didn't get it fixed properly every time, so the straps help me, especially for my right hand

Best ones I've used are APT super grip elite. They are the best hands down, they're 2 inches wide so they're really comfortable. They also have rubber on the outside of the strap which really helps. They really helped me with deadlifts, before using these straps I wasn't lifting to my potential. I think they're about 30 bucks a set (a little pricey) but well worth it!

FlexSolate, used conventional straps for years and nothing helps isolate your back like these. Nothing at all to grip, I use them with my hands open. Wouldnt work well for deadlifts but anything else they cant be beat.

Thanks for all the input fellas. I would have gone with the chalk but my stupid small town gym does not allow it. Oh and yeah i was only planing on using em on my max lifts on lat pulls and shrugs.

Hands down the best, and you can customize. Alan the owner is awesome. I got all white with red letter " F*ck You", the faces at the gym are hilarious. Make sure you get the inner padding ($2 xtra?), well worth it and comfy dude.
