    help - mass building workout

First, I would like to thank you for this amazing site. I would like to describe myself so you can get a better idea when helping me with my questions. I am 35 years old, 5'5" and 125 pounds. Back in my high school years I was up to 140 plus at time but due to my busy life running my business 7 days a week, putting in 10 hours a day. On top of that I have to be involve with my son and wife which gives me no time for myself. I know that should be no excuse but this is the fact. I really want to change this as I am not getting any younger and would like to be as healthy as I can from now on.

I have read lots of post on the forum and found that I need to up my daily calorie and protein intake. As of right now I am getting about 1500g calories and 50g proteins just from my usual 3 daily meals. I rarely eat snacks in between my meals and no supplements what so ever.

This is my plan to up my calories and proteins intake. Have a; GNC Mega Man multi vitamin, protein shake, peanut butter and some fruit in between my meals. I am looking at Real Mass weigh gainer protein shake. Each serving has about 700g calories and 50g proteins. I will be having at least 3 of these shakes a day. I will also be taking All American Kre-Alkalyn® EFX creatine before and after workout. I hope to gain from all the extra calories and proteins I will be consuming. I really do not care if I will be putting on lot of fats, my goal is to just GAIN for now.

Now, I need suggestion on a workout routine. All I want to do is to gain mass and strength while I am gaining weight. I will work on toning and cutting once I reach my goal of 145 to 150 lbs. What will be the best workout for accomplishing this? Remember, all I want to do is gain mass and strength. If you can suggest a routine this would be great.

Any comment as to what I said in this post is welcome. Thank you in advance.

For you, Stick with a simple routine use big movements, i.e. bench press, squat, deadlift, row, pull-up. I would buy yourself a good program like starting strength by Mark Rippetoe. Focus on getting stronger and eating a lot.
