    Bulking Shoulders

Im having trouble seeing any improvements on the mass of my shoulders. I have gone up in all my weights but I am still not seeing any mass. Anyone have any great shoulder workouts that they suggest?

    DB Press 1x13, 1x9, 1x7, 1x7
    Leaning Laterals 4x9
    BB Shoulder Press 3x15
    Cable Laterals 2x18 per arm

This always lights them up. I quickly went up in weight with this routine.

Excellent articles - Phil is really cool, and was a pleasure meeting. I used to have issues with shoulders too, and it's taken time to get it right. Are you feeling a pump in them after a set? That was extremely important to my shoulder developement. I let me know I was doing it right. I guess that's the only thing that I can add. I hope that helps you.

Yeah that site has great articles on just about anything. Higher reps, get to about 15-18 and try to keep constant pressure, as in don't lock out your arms. You should never lock out joints in my opinion.

for the main "bulk" the Lateral Raises are gonna hook you up the best the fastest. sometimes cheat a little bit but don't overdo it with the heavier weight and swing it up - sometimes, not every single rep.

i'm all for the Arnold Press as well when doing DB Shoulder presses.

Do not forget upright rows..... these really pound the shoulders.

Shoulders are my best developed muscle group.

    Standing Military Press: 3x6
Seated Smith Machine (Behind the Neck) Press: 3x15-20 reps (I usually stick to 135lbs for these, They will fry your delts)
    Lateral Raises: 3x10-12 reps
    Reverse Pec Dec: 3x10

Give that a shot for a few weeks, you will definitely be sore(r) than ever.

Behind the neck military press (barbell) 3x6
    Bent over laterals (seated) 4x8
    Arnold Presses 3x6
    Reverse laterals 3x6

bent over lateral AND reverse lateral AND reverse pec dec ?? talk about overkill

mix in some side lateral raises, or front plate raise / front DB (or fixed BB) raise

huge fan of the clean and press, but i incorporate a split jerk when i press it up. chicks dig it. plus since it's a power / complex lift i prefer more sets on it.

this was one of my workouts before:

    clean and press with a split jerk (usually pyramid up, 135x12 / 155x10 / 185x5 / 195, ending with 2 or 3 sets of 3-5)
bent over lateral raise (3 sets, one arm at a time)
arnold press (one moderately heavy set, 3-4 hard working sets with a spotter)
side lateral raise or front raise / upright row (or shrug, i'd alternate every week) - i'd superset these for 3 sets

sometimes i'd like to end with a couple decent working sets of behind the neck military press depending on how fatigued my muscles were.

doesn't seem like a whole lot but it's perfect for me.
