My question is should I be including cardio in my my routine? Or maybe my day off? I currently do none.

    Wensday off
    Thursday legs
    Friday shoulders
    Weekend off

    it's called a caliper.

i wouldn't NOT do cardio. it's good for the heart. it's a matter of over doing it that i'd be concerned about if i was going for mass / strength gains.

adding cardio with your current routine is always a good thing. Nothing negative about it.

I will take some pics when I can, I know of calipers and thought of it more like a tool and not the machine "caliper" they used.

I am always trying to gain weight and find it hard to do. Diet diet diet yes I know, my diet is good not great but it's hard to keep it perfect with work, life and what my appetite allows.

I put on weight every year just not much and this is why I stayed away from cardio. How should I incorporate this in my routine? I would prefer to do it on off days length? Intensity? Heart rate?

Thanks for all your help on this and other posts guys

I have been wondering the same thing. I have almost the exact same workout routine. I used to run at least 16 miles per week but am trying to bulk up. All the running actually (finally) developed my calves. Did so many calf raises in the gym it was ridiculous with no results. Started running a lot and boom. Currently run 1.5 miles before every workout, real hilly though; takes about 14 minutes. I would really like to run on two of my off days - preferably not the day after leg day right

I just started a new 8 week training diet with also a new routine for lifting. I'm thinking that if my BF starts going up I'll include more intense runs. Just a thought.

Calipers can be somewhat accurate if done by someone with experience and proper technique; most do not possess either. Also some people store fat differently than others and diet can play a big role in this. Calipers mainly rely on subcutaneous fat to "predict" your bf percentage. Now I had a girl come in to the lab one time and she got a skin fold test done by one of our best who has been practicing for over 20 years and he predicted her to be around 31%. We figured she just liked to drink a bit of beer in college and was just a little chubby. We then proceeded to throw her on the DEXA and get a more accurate result. She has massive amounts of visceral fat around her organs and she came back with just above 40% bodyfat. To confirm this, we threw her in the tank and she ended up being just under 41% in the tank. That just goes to show how inaccurate even a veteran can be in certain populations.

Calipers start being inaccurate on males when they get above 16-18% bodyfat and females above 24%. The fatter they are the more inaccurate the calipers become.
